Coastal air contains salt spray, high humidity and seawater exposure, which can accelerate corrosion, water ingress and deterioration of electrical components. Significant day-night temperature differences can also cause internal condensation and increase maintenance requirements. The Double Door Stainless Steel Distribution Box is designed for these coastal conditions.
Physical Specifications: 762 × 508 × 406 mm (H × W × D); 304 stainless steel outer housing, brushed finish, 14GA/1.90 mm; rotatable 12GA carbon-steel inner door with white powder coating.
The outer enclosure uses 1.90 mm 304 stainless steel with a brushed finish and PU foam gasket. Continuous piano hinges support the sealing design, while draw latches and padlock hasps provide secure outdoor closure.
The inner rotatable door is fabricated from 12GA carbon steel with pre-cut viewing openings. For on-site inspection, technicians can read selected instrument indicators through the inner-door cutouts after opening the outer door, without directly accessing the main compartment. The air space between the outer and inner doors provides an additional barrier that can help reduce direct exposure to moisture and salt spray.
Pre-welded mounting studs support DIN-rail and component installation. Mounting feet and a thermoplastic document pocket are supplied as standard accessories.
